The Farm is Here to Support Connective Experiences

We want to share with you the magic and wonder of this beautiful place we call home. We welcome you to relax, remember your connection to the natural world, to yourself, to each other and tap into your creative heart. Rare Bird Farm grows food for our farm family, fruit trees, medicinal herbs, berries, and corn. We offer sustainable experiences and building practices with Rare Bird Reclaimed. We are also the home of Rare Bird Cultural Arts, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm that thoughtfully curates live musical performances and creative and connective workshops on weekends April-October. These concerts and workshops are ticketed events. We invite you to host your own low impact and connective event here at Rare Bird Farm.

Terrace Garden

We are developing a food forest planting over 25 fruit trees, berries, a medicinal plant and herb garden and more. Here it overlooks the main barnyard with the iconic pyramid backdrop that is named Gobbler’s Knob.

High Cabin

The High Cabin is nestled high above the farm and at the base of the trail to the ridgeline. It has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, a queen futon in the living room, a kitchen, bathroom, large deck, and multiple tent sites.

For a family reunion, camp, or retreat; Hare Cabin Bunkhouse is a perfect communal experience.

An Intimate Listening Venue with Stunning Views

Rare Bird Farm prides itself on being a listening venue. We have two stages: Tug Fork Barn, a barn venue seating 75 and with a 125 capacity. We also have the Chestnut Barn Stage, a natural amphitheater for outdoor performances with a 200 capacity. The Chestnut Barn is where we started life as a music venue and we are happy to be bringing this stage back to life in 2024.
