Rare Bird Cultural Arts Farm

Remembering Ourselves through Nature, Culture, and Creative Community

Rare Bird Cultural Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based at Rare Bird Farm in rural Madison County, North Carolina. Through music and folkways, RBCA celebrates the diverse cultures of the Southern Appalachians and facilitates exchange between them. Our programming is designed to be accessible and affirming for: 

• urban and rural populations,

• adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and

• communities rooted in and unfamiliar with traditional arts.

We provide a space to remember ourselves through nature, culture, and creative community.
