Rare Bird Cultural Arts, a 501(c)(3), focuses on fostering community connection and accessibility through its primary music programming, which includes concerts and workshops celebrating Appalachian traditions. In addition to its music-centered events, Rare Bird offers inclusive programming specifically designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). These initiatives include a dedicated music festival, an immersive theater camp, and a year-long inclusive performing arts day program in Asheville. This blend of music, inclusivity, and arts education allows Rare Bird to bridge communities and empower diverse populations, promoting creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

We are working to raise $60,000 by February 15, with every dollar matched by our Board of Directors.
