Join Rare Birders Benjamin Gibbins and Edwin Self for a demonstration of woodcrete construction. We are restoring a late 1800’s Chestnut and Oak barn at Rare Bird and through a combination of imagination and sustainability Ben and Edwin have developed a technique using the sawdust from their milling creating an insulative, fire-retardant and quite beautiful wall. We are excited to show the work we are doing to ensure an authentic and sustainable construction. This free two hour demo will let you get your hands dirty, add to our woodcrete wall and see how it all comes together.
