Join Emileigh of Rhythm & Ritual for a day of broomcraft and connection.
More than a handcrafts class, Emileigh creates a ritual space for participants to settle in and create with intention.
Everyone will make their own full length sweeper broom.
Participants will have an opportunity to use a drawknife and shaving horse to create a unique handle and learn how to tie the broom, stitch them flat, and plait a beautifully woven cap.
Due to the strenuous nature of this craft, I ask that all participants have moderate hand/upper body strength.
We will also actively be using our feet.
This is an intermediate class. Ideally you have some broommaking experience, but I am open to attendees that have general experience in crafting/handwork.
Class size: 7
Date/Time: August 25th, 10am-5pm (we will break for lunch)
Cost: $166
