Jennifer Jane Nicely

My name is Jennifer Jane Niceley and I’ve been making music for a long time. You can find the earliest releases under “Jennifer Niceley”. As of now, I am living back on the land in East Tennessee where I grew up, although I lived in Nashville on and off for years and spent a few glorious years OUT WEST. ~ My music has never fallen neatly into a genre or category and that is true for my latest recordings as well…while my upcoming full-length album, produced by Eric Davis (Feathered Mason), is very nearly finished, I have two singles from that collection already out in the world — Built to Last (Grateful Dead cover), and Flight Patterns. Stay tuned for updates on this upcoming release, called Not Lost. ~ During the lockdowns a few years ago we opened up a little “honkytonk” here at the farm called The Tack Room and that has been a lot of fun — we’ve had some amazing talent come through and have greatly enjoyed providing a place out in the country where kids and music lovers of all ages can just get together and enjoy the evening. Kind of like I remember when I was growing up. I often perform here as well, as a trio with Eric and multi-instrumentalist Jason Goforth. Sign up for my newsletter for updates on all these things and more. ~ JJN

Feathered Mason is a longtime musician and award winning songwriter born a couple decades too late to a French mother and Midwestern father deep in the heart of Illinois. While early influences such as Hendrix, Zeppelin and Black Sabbath shaped his early blues psychedelic rock sound on guitar, regular trips to France listening to his twin uncles sing harmony & strum guitar secured a place in his heart for folk and music. Many a band and decades later, after also emerging himself in the bluegrass community on banjo then finding his own slide of the country blues hill fingerpick’n on resonator guitars the Feathered Mason has taken flight! Now calling East Tennessee home – a true homecoming for an American roots lover & artist .
