Rare Bird Theater Camp

for Adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities

Rare Bird Theater Camp provides creative mentorship for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities. Together, we will collaboratively develop a musical and showcase our talents in a performance on Sunday, September 29, inviting parents, family, friends, and caregivers to join. Volunteers will be paired with a camper to create unique roles together, allowing us to express and share our individual gifts and talents with the world.

Camp Package Inclusions:

Rare Bird Theater Camp is a collaboration between Rare Bird Farm and Christmount Retreat Center, home of Camp Lakey Gap and Sunshine Retreats for people with disabilities. A place for all to discover community, acceptance, and purpose. The camp will be organized by Rare Bird Farm and held at Christmount in Black Mountain, NC.

  • Arrival 3pm on Thursday, September 26rd and Depart by 5pm on Sunday, September 29th
