Conveniently located just 19 miles west of Asheville, NC, Rare Bird Farm is a 98 acre farm and cultural event space that can host gatherings of up to 200 people. SPRING FESTIVAL
Doggett Gap Tiny Music & Heritage Festival is our signature spring event, held each May. Half of all net proceeds benefit the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, supporting the preservation of our region’s cultural traditions. This festival is made possible through the generous support of the Madison County Tourism Development Grant.
SUMMER FESTIVAL
Lightning Bug Tiny Music & Arts Festival is our signature summer event, held each June. Half of all net proceeds support Rare Bird Inclusive Performing Arts Camps with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The festival also expands access by providing transportation and support for adults with disabilities to attend and by featuring artists with disabilities in the line-up. This event is made possible through the generous support of the Madison County Tourism Development Grant.
FALL FESTIVAL
Bandaloop Tiny Music & Story Festival was our signature fall event, held October 2025. Half of all net proceeds support Friends of the Hot Springs Library. This event is made possible through the generous support of the Madison County Tourism Development Grant.
